paducah & beyond. we are indivisible. join us.

Four Rivers Indivisible is completely volunteer-run. Your donation will support the direct costs of our activism in Kentucky – we have BIG plans for this year and need your help to enact those plans!

You may have seen us out in the community recently. We have been actively trying to get Comer to host a town hall for months. If you’ve got an idea for an action or notice a need for visible resistance in the community, reach out!

Voter turnout in the last presidential election was disappointing, to say the least. Almost 1/3 of eligible voters didn’t bother voting or were prevented in one way or another. We will do voter outreach in our communities from time to time.

Resistance to authoritarian governments takes place in the streets. As our government becomes more corrupt and lawless, we should take to the streets more and more. Let’s create a network for quick calls to action.

The budget is due and ICE has been being funded in the temporary resolution at a level higher than the US Marine Corps. Meanwhile, lack of oversight and accountability leaves many American cities under stress, less safe, and in chaos. Healthcare costs soar as Congress defunds healthcare subsidies and Medicaid, while giving ICE a gravy train of unaccountable money being spent mostly to put on a reality show of what unaccountable power looks like. And a secret police force of masked men roams the streets of many cities kidnapping American citizens along with the undocumented with little to no due process and often in violation of the law without a judicial warrant in private spaces in homes or institutions.

And on top of that, military adventures seek to take over sovereign countries including allies like Greenland that we already have forces in for protecting them as a NATO ally under Denmark.

¡Únase a nosotros! Come and join us as we ask Rep. Comer–whose role in congress is on the important Oversight Committee as well as being involved in the budget– once again (!) to hold a town hall and answer questions about these critical Constitutional topics, ask that he vote for the ICE budget to be reduced to $0 in view of the out-of-control lawlessness, unprofessionalism, and disregard for the dignity and sanctity of human life being shown on American streets against our people., restore healthcare cuts in the budget, and assert Article One powers over declaring war to stop the lawless military interventions by the Administration.

principles

We are all learning as we go. Many in our community have never protested before or been active in our democratic process–aside from voting. We are here to change that, so we can all learn and grow together in this authoritarian moment.

Democracy is in the balance and being threatened by the gravest threat to the rule of law and our Constitutional Republic in our lifetimes. The only way to successfully defend our fragile democratic republic is by standing together, Indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL.

Four Rivers Indivisible is one of a rapidly growing number of groups across the country taking action to resist these anti-democratic forces We are committed to civil rights and social justice, and protecting our liberties.

Our group is focusing on Paducah and surrounding communities in far western Kentucky–the “Four Rivers” region with lovely Kentucky Lake and Murray State University. We also have some members across the river in Massac and Pope counties in Southern Illinois.

Four Rivers Indivisible is completely volunteer-run. Your donation will support the direct costs of our activism in Kentucky – we have BIG plans for this year and need your help to enact those plans! Help us fund activities such as our billboards in Paducah and sometimes other areas such as Mayfield, voter engagement, and citizen/voter education activities and increasingly direct non-violent protest in opposition to harmful destruction of government programs and agencies that people rely on to keep us safe, healthy, and free. .
